This week, viewers will see Paul (Jonny Labey) tell Vincent (Richard Blackwood) about Les (Roger Sloman) & Claudettes (Ellen Thomas) affair. Paul also tells Vincent to make sure that Claudette stays away from his gran (Lin Blakley). Now that Vincent has been made aware of what has been going on for years, what will he do about it?
In scenes to air NEXT week, we will see that Vincent has put two and two together and knows that what Paul told him is true. He remembers receiving a postcard and once he compares the one he has with one that Pam also has- he realizes that Les and Claudette’s ‘chance holiday meeting’ in Gran Canaria wasn’t down to coincidence as the pair had previously claimed.
Backed in to a corner by her foster son; Claudette then heads to Blades for a show down with Paul who tells her to leave Pam alone. But will Claudette heed his advice?
Fast forward to the Centenary party in the Vic to celebrate Coker & Sons Funeral Directors 100 year anniversary. The Cokers arrive to a packed Vic where Les then makes a moving speech about his beloved “Birdie” and how she has supported him through the years.
Claudette is visibly uncomfortable during Les’ speech and wipes away a tear.
At the celebration, Les and his grandson attempt to build bridges
Later, back at the Cokers home, Paul, who has tried so hard for weeks to protect his gran, finally tells her why he is upset and off with Les for the past few weeks.
Pam reels from the bombshell of what Paul has told her.
Later that evening Pam and Les talk and we are sure that this story will continue for weeks to come. Pam will surely confront Claudette and something tells us that Les has more secrets for viewers to discover!
EastEnders airs these scenes during the week of 27 July on BBC One.
